Roxy Astor (real name Tracee Leigh Meltzer, née Phelps) is an American actress, professional wrestler, hairstylist, children's fashion designer, and producer best known for her time in the 1980s women's wrestling promotion G.L.O.W.: Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling. Background and Early Life Born Tracee Leigh Phelps on October 23, 1962 (age 63 as of 2026) in Auburn, Washington, she is the oldest of two children. She attended Auburn High School and later studied fashion illustration at the Seattle Art Institute. After a breakup, she moved to California, where she worked as a hairdresser. G.L.O.W. Career (Seasons 3–4) Meltzer had no prior acting or wrestling experience when she saw a TV ad calling for "GLOW Girls" and auditioned. Out of thousands of applicants, she was selected. She wrestled as Roxy Astor, a glamorous, red-headed (dyed from her natural blonde) New York socialite character from Park Avenue—ironically, she had never visited New York at the time. She teamed with Tiffany Mellon (Sandra Lee Schwab) as The Park Avenue Knockouts, managed by Jackie Stallone. They replaced the earlier Beverly Hills Beauties tag team. She performed in seasons 3 and 4 (around 1988–1990) of the syndicated TV show, known for its campy, over-the-top characters and storylines. As a former hairstylist, she also did hair for many of the wrestlers, including her own. Notable matches included feuds with Godiva and a stiff bout against Cheyenne Cher in the "Run for the Rubies." Training was intense, with real bumps and physical demands in a high-camp environment. Post-GLOW Work and Revival Efforts After GLOW ended abruptly, Meltzer stepped away from wrestling for family but later became a key ambassador for its legacy: She founded AfterGLOW, organizing fan parties, reunions, Q&As, meet-and-greets, workshops, and an annual cruise. She created and performed in stage productions like AfterGLOW: The 80s Musical Experience (premiered 2018, based on real GLOW stories; earned BroadwayWorld Award nominations) and Matilda the Hun: The Raw Meat (a 2024 play tributing wrestler Deanna Booher). In 2025, she co-created and co-executive produces Afterglow Women's Wrestling, with plans for filming and a pilot. She has also designed children's fashion under "Designs by Tracee." Personal Life Meltzer has three children: Dylan, Kayla, and Lindzee. Her daughter Kayla pursued wrestling (as Juvi Hall in Wrestlicious and Britney Astor) and is the first second-generation GLOW wrestler. She has been with partner Dan Magnus (a former U.S. marshal and kickboxing champion) since 2013. She remains active on social media (e.g., Instagram @roxy.astor) sharing memories, fan events, and personal interests like animal rescue.
